Licensing and infrastructure (allocated)

What it means

Licence and infrastructure belong to the vendor, not to an application. On a per-application tab the model shows an apportioned share, allocated by that application's fraction of the vendor's total test cases; the All Apps view counts the vendor totals exactly once. The allocated shares always sum back to the true total.

With a single application the allocated figure equals the vendor total. If a vendor has no cases anywhere the cost is split evenly.

Why it matters to the cost

Per-application views are how people compare, and summing per-application licence lines would bill the same licence once per application — a four-application estate would show four times the real cost and quietly wreck the comparison. Allocation keeps every view adding up to the same total.

Proportional to case share; a 300-case application in a 1,200-case estate carries a quarter of each vendor-level line.
